മരിച്ചവരെയും ഇരട്ടവോട്ടുള്ളവരെയും എന്യുമറേഷൻ ഫോം നൽകാത്തവരെയുമൊക്കെ എസ്.ഐ.ആറിൽ ഒഴിവാക്കിയതിനാലാണ് 7.95 ലക്ഷം വോട്ടർമാർ കുറഞ്ഞതെന്ന് മുഖ്യതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഓഫീസർ രത്തൻ യു. കേൽക്കർ പറഞ്ഞു.

കഴിഞ്ഞ തദ്ദേശതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ 2.86 കോടി വോട്ടർമാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിനെക്കാൾ 16 ലക്ഷത്തോളം കുറഞ്ഞു. 2021-ലെ നിയമസഭാതിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ 2,74,46,039 വോട്ടർമാരായിരുന്നു. മരിച്ചവർ, കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധിക്കാത്തവർ, താമസം മാറിയവർ, ഒന്നിലധികം പട്ടികയിലുള്ളവർ, എന്യുമറേഷൻ ഫോറം തിരികെ നൽകാത്തവർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ 24 ലക്ഷം പേരെ ഒഴിവാക്കിയാണ് കരടുപട്ടിക പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്.
